Terms of Use

The agreement for using CuffLog

Last Updated: 10 July 2026

1. Acceptance

CuffLog ("the app") is a blood-pressure logging app for iPhone developed by Jane McKay. By downloading or using CuffLog, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

2. Not medical advice

CuffLog is a personal logging and tracking tool. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Nothing in the app should be treated as a substitute for professional medical guidance. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider about your blood pressure and any treatment decisions, and seek urgent care if you are unwell.

3. Accuracy of readings

The optional camera scan uses optical character recognition to read numbers from your monitor's display. This is a convenience feature and may occasionally misread a value. You are responsible for checking that any saved reading matches what your monitor actually showed. CuffLog does not measure your blood pressure itself — it records the values you provide.

4. Your data

Your readings and symptoms are stored locally on your device. You are responsible for your device and any backups of it. Uninstalling the app removes its locally stored data. See our Privacy Policy for full details of how data is handled, including the transient processing of monitor images for the scan feature.

5. CuffLog Premium (subscriptions)

CuffLog is free to download. Logging readings by hand, your reading history, your week and month averages, target ranges and reminders are free to use. CuffLog Premium is an optional auto-renewing subscription that unlocks the camera scan, Trends charts, and the GP report and data export.

Premium is offered on a monthly or yearly basis. The current price for your country is shown in the App Store and in the app before you confirm any purchase. Payment is charged to your Apple ID on confirmation. The subscription renews automatically at the price shown unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel a subscription at any time in your Apple ID account settings.

Apple is the merchant of record for all purchases. Purchases are governed by Apple's Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement, and refunds are handled by Apple under its standard terms — we cannot issue refunds directly.

6. Acceptable use

You agree to use CuffLog only for lawful, personal purposes and not to attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or misuse the app or the services that support it.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

CuffLog is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that scanned readings will always be accurate.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app, including any decisions made based on data recorded in it.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last Updated" date above and publishing the revised Terms at this URL.
